Artist's Comments

This was taken in the Hemlock Natural Area in western Perry County Pennsylvania. This is an area of virgin forest, approximately 120 acres in all, which features old-growth hemlock, mixed in with other trees and vegetation.

This was one of many beautiful spots in the bottom of the ravine where this trickle of water flowed. I just loved how the moss and the ferns were EVERYWHERE.
