Just in time for the 4th of July... I have a few old family photos that bring out a lot of memory. I will note that I obviously was not the photographer here, I am only sharing because I think it is appropriate for Independence Day.
This is three of the Payte brothers, including my maternal grandfather, taken after basic training and before they headed off to war, during World War II.

I was glancing thru your pictures, by the way they are GREAT!!, and this one caught my eye. I knew right off which one was Poppa, but I haven't seen this picture before. He will always remain in my thoughts as the wonderful man that he was. I know that I was blessed to be able to grow up and know him as I did. Thanks for the great picture and memories that it brought back.
